Description

This brass drop is an exact copy of an original drop from an enclosed antique oak cabinet of drawers made in about 1665 and 1675. This high quality piece had plain-fronted drawers within and two doors outside profusely covered in geometrical moulding forming the appearance of drawer fronts. The key escutcheons on these doors had survived and there were witness marks of the original A1 type handles. Our key escutcheon A19 is the one copied from the one on the original chest.
