Meet the Team

Clicking left or right use the slider below, to find out a little bit about the Optimum team.

Nick has been with Optimum Brasses for 5 years, having taken on the role of Managing Director 2 years ago, it's Nick's job to keep things running smoothly. Nick joined the company following 23 years service in the Army Air Corps, he still plays a big part in the armed forces community, as the chairman of Tiverton's Royal British Legion and a member of many veterans groups. When he's got a bit of down time, Nick likes to spend it relaxing, with his nearest and dearest.Brad is part of our talented workshop team at Optimum Brasses. He's highly skilled in assembly and polishing, ensuring all our pieces are finished to the highest standard. Brad is a big music fan but as well as his love for music he also enjoys competitive gaming on his PS4 and travelling (sampling world beers on route, of course).Chell is our very talented Antique Ageing Specialist here at Optimum. It's her job to give our pieces that 'antique finish'. On top of her fabulous finishing work, Chell also processes orders and helps out around the office. In her spare time, Chel loves to travel; seeing new places, having new experiences and making memories! When she's not globe trotting you'll find her spending time with her loved ones. Now, where would be without Dean AKA the Brass Whisperer? Dean is responsible for fabricating, assembling, fixing and refurbishment of brass fixtures and fittings, he's our magic pair of hands in the workshop! Dean is a busy and talented guy, when he's not working for Optimum, you'll find him in his own workshop making the finest quality reproduction orreries, armillary spheres and cross clocks. When he's had enough of work, you'll find Dean exploring the beautiful Devon and Cornwall countryside and of course sampling the food and drink in the lovely country pubs! When he's not out walking, he enjoys fishing (catch and release) along the North Coast.Helen is our Administrator, if you've got a question or want to place an order, she's your lady! The best part is, our customers are always telling us how helpful and friendly she is! Helen is a big music fan, she especially loves the 70s & 80s vibe. When she's not at work Helen likes to spend time with friends and family, and of course, attend the odd music event or two!Stef - The newest member of the Optimum family! She has come on board to pull us (NOT kicking and screaming we would like to add) into the 21st Century and the world of social media! If there's one word that people associate with Stef, it is definitely the word... CHIHUAHUA. Her two Chihuahua's, Princess Jasmine and Bruno, are her babies. Spare time is family time, with her husband, Jasmine and Bruno, reserved for walks on Dartmoor and snuggles on the sofa. Of course she loves all the usual things too, spending time with friends, socialising, eating out etc but you probably all know the quote... 'If my dogs can't come, I'm not going'.Meet Sue! As well as making sure everyone gets paid (most important job EVER) and keeping on top of admin work, Sue also turns her hand to wax injecting, which is a very tricky business! Sue prides herself on being a family lady and animal lover, she has two children and a cheeky House Rabbit named Lenny, who's a real character! When she has some time to herself she loves to get crafty creating decorations from felt.
